At 14 C Hillside, luxury is not defined by perfection, but by how beautifully life unfolds within it. It was conceived as an ultra-luxury property in Los Cabos — a home designed for a large family who may visit only a few months a year, yet need every moment to feel intentional, intimate, and unforgettable.
True luxury here lies in livability.
The interiors embrace contrast with confidence. Natural textures meet dark and light woods — an uncommon combination in many of Ruiz’s projects — yet here they transition seamlessly. The bedroom layers ochre tones, sculptural forms, and tactile finishes to create balance between warmth and refinement.
Scale becomes a powerful design tool.
In the dining area, oversized chandeliers cascade like a constellation above the table — designed to evoke the sensation of dining beneath a rain of stars. The kitchen responds with lighting in similar tones but in a different scale, creating dialogue rather than repetition.
Nothing screams. Everything resonates.
If one word defines the aesthetic, it is eclectic — but not in the conventional sense. It is eclectic as freedom. A freedom to reinterpret the past, to reference the seventies if necessary, yet always within a contemporary framework.
